The architectural competition for the Pärnu Männipark kindergarten and swimming pool was won by Kalle Vellevoog, Tristan Krevald, Jornas-Toomas Iisak and Peep Moorast from the JVR Architects. Their concept design "Mutionu" was highly praised for its feasibility, compactness and logical spatial solution.
The jury highlighted its inviting entrance and the unique educational axis between the kindergarten and the school. The design is a classic kindergarten solution, executed at a high professional level and matching the tonality of the surrounding public buildings. The solution is energy efficient and, with its compact courtyard area, leaves enough public space for the park by the Rääma stream, interfering less with the integrity of the park,” said Pärnu City Architect Siim Orav.
